We've received numerous requests to present, again this holiday season, the recording of Jazz Mechanica's Mellow Tone Haven For Jazz Mavens House Band's rendition of "Slayride." As many of you know, donations to our site support The Mellow Tone Haven For Jazz Mavens Retirement Home For Jazz Musicians in Bad Axe, Michigan and, once again on behalf of its happy residents, heartfelt thanks for your generous (non-tax-deductible) support.
Regular followers will notice that, with the exception of our new logo glued to the building, not much has changed at The Haven. We leave our creche up year round as it seems to please our residents, many of whom don't have a clue of what month of the year it is anyway.
We are happy to report that all of the Mellow Fellow members are still with us this year, although two of them have no recollection of recording "Slayride," or even that they once played instruments.
